One of the assignments of the rietveld course was to make a 'one minute sculpture' (referring to the work of Erwin Wurm). This was mine.

associations

The last assignment of the Rietveld course was to sent photos back and forth with another participant of the course. You had to find a photo that you associated with the one that was sent to you. The photos are found through a site about cooking, NVN blog, Mieke Willems and this site.

Ministeck

Bought this box of Ministeck on queens day this year. Reminds me of my youth. Found a soldier inside the plastic bag. 

garden

 The garden is beautiful this time of the year. We've picked almost all apples, one peach (missed the others because of our holiday unfortunately, they were on the ground)and are now waiting for the figs to grow ripe.

Fantastic to see his work in real. Loved these pieces, quality of the photos is not that good unfortunately.

This work belongs to Alighiero Boetti. Went to his exhibition in the Tate in London. Love how he's playful in his work. 

New shelve

Made a new shelve in Rens' room. Only small things fit on it.

I used to play with the same wooden city myself, we bought it at a market during a holiday in France. The print is a gift from my cousin made by Blanca Helga. She makes beautiful collages. The porcelain cats were a farewell gift from Rens' previous teacher. 

France

Just spent some beautiful days in my father's house in France. It's so quiet there, you hear the birds singing constantly. And the air smells so nice in spring. The kids were playing out almost all the time and we worked in the garden, read, talked, made nice cakes, desserts & dinner. Really have to adjust to the Dutch climate, which is much colder, brrr. 

Easter

Some pictures from easter. Made the eggs from Ulicam again, but hers are much nicer! Don't have the patience to try again. 

My cousin came over and brought some sweet chocolates for the kids, like these malteaster bunnies!
